Building Our Portfolio
2009
Jonathon and Kristi became first-time landlords when they rented their home in Marysville, Washington and moved to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
2010
Six months after moving to Pittsburgh, they bought a duplex in Carnegie, PA and moved to the 2nd floor apartment. For the next few years, they managed 2 rental units – one 3000 miles away, and one downstairs.
2016
They bought a foreclosed single-family home in North Irwin, PA and spent 6 months completing DIY renovations before finding a tenant.
2017
Atherholt Investments LLC was established. Over the next 3 years, the properties in Marysville and Carnegie were sold. The company reinvested in a triplex in Hempfield and a 9-unit building in Penn Township.
2023
Atherholt Investments took on the biggest project yet: a 15-unit apartment building on South Main Street in Greensburg, PA.
Today, Atherholt Investments LLC owns 4 properties with a total of 28 rental units.
Jonathon
Chief Executive Officer
Born and raised in Potter County, PA, Jonathon served 6 years in the US Navy as a nuclear-trained Electronics Technician before moving to Pittsburgh with Kristi. Today, he manages a team supporting the Navy’s nuclear training program. At Atherholt Investments, Jonathon oversees high level financing for funding projects and new investments properties. He also troubleshoots and repairs technical system issues and completes major renovation projects. He loves sailing and riding bikes with his family, and working with his chainsaw.
Kristi
Chief of Operations
Raised in the Pacific Northwest, Kristi served 6 years in the US Navy as a nuclear-trained Electrician’s Mate before moving with Jonathon to PA. She completed her real estate license while managing rentals from home with their 2 boys. In 2022, she worked as a property manager for over 300 rental units scattered from east Pittsburgh to the greater Greensburg area. Today, Kristi works fulltime for Atherholt Investments managing daily operations including turnovers, leasing, billing, communications, and small repairs. She loves traveling, writing, and hanging out with the family.
